A new study claims that Washington, D.C., the nation’s capital is the number as the most luxurious area in the United States of America. Similarly, New York and Florida are ranked second and third respectively in the most luxurious areas.
Customized jewelry specialist “Glamira” has researched several luxury lifestyles including “Luxury Vacations”, “Luxury Jewelry” and “Luxury Hotels” and analyzed Google Trends data to find out the level of interest in each area.
Washington, D.C., ranked in first place with a score of 78.71 “luxury score” points.
The study report, which is based on Google Trend insights, compiled nine search terms ranging from “luxury jewelry” to “luxury goods” and rated their level of interest out of 100 for each region.
More specifically, Washingtonians were hunting for luxury apartments, hotels, brands and vacations the most.
“There are various ways to experience luxury, whether heading on a vacation to stay in a five-star resort or perhaps purchasing high-quality jewelry that will last a lifetime. It’s no doubt that Americans desire a lavish lifestyle. Still, one thing for certain is that the east coast has a particularly keen interest in luxury, with nine of the areas in the ranking belonging to this region. However, with one of the areas in the top 10 being on the west coast, it will be interesting to see if other nearby areas follow suit and develop a luxury obsession.” -Glamira Spokesperson.
Not only the top spot in the luxury category, Washington, D.C. earned 100 points in several search terms, including luxury apartments, hotels, brands, and vacations.
New York scored 75.56 and Florida scored 60.89 luxury-obsessed scores, officials said.
Coming in fourth, New Jersey boasts a luxury-obsessed score of 60.22. Connecticut took fifth place with a score of 59.11.
Also, in joint sixth place are Georgia and Virginia, both with an average luxury-obsessed score of 57. 78. Georgia earned the top score for luxury cars while both states had high scores for luxury goods, according to research officials.
California scored seventh place with 57. 33 points, it is the only state outside the Eastern Region on the top list.
Eighth on the list is Maryland, which obtained a luxurious score of 56. 11.
Massachusetts ranks ninth and last in the East with a score of 54.89. Its capital Boston is one of the most expensive cities in America.
