    UPDATES: Nashville Police tweeted a photo of the RV that exploded this morning, Possible human remains found near the site of the explosion

    Nashville police have released a photo of the RV that exploded on 2nd Ave N this morning. It arrived on 2nd Ave at 1:22 a.m. They are asking anyone with information to contact investigators with tips.

    The photo was apparently taken from a security camera showing the RV near Commerce Street and Second Avenue overnight.

    Police said in a tweet along with the photo “This is the RV that exploded on 2nd Ave N this morning. It arrived on 2nd Ave at 1:22 a.m. Have you seen this vehicle in our area or do you have information about it? Please contact us via Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463 or online via http://fbi.gov/nashville“.

    Authorities have found possible human remains near the site of the explosion with the ongoing investigation. The remains have been sent to the medical examiner’s office for analysis.

    CBS News has first reported information about the possible human remains.

    According to AP, It is unclear how the remains are related to the Friday explosion or whether they might belong to the person believed to be responsible or a victim.

    AP reported that the officials could not discuss an ongoing investigation publicly and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.

    Nashville police and FBI hold a briefing on the downtown explosion, CBS News released a youtube video.

    Nashville Police Chief John Drake and officials from the FBI and ATF held a briefing Friday on the explosion that tore through downtown Nashville early Christmas morning. Drake said police had been called to the scene before the blast and found an RV with a recording warning that a bomb would detonate in 15 minutes. Watch the full briefing here.

    Nashville mayor Josh Cooper announces curfew in the explosion impact area until 4:30 p.m. CT on Sunday.

    He posted the message on his social media page- I have signed Executive Order 12 to issue a state of civil emergency proclaimed within the area bounded by James Robertson Parkway, 4th Ave north, Broadway and the Cumberland River. A curfew will start at 4:30pm, Friday Dec 25. and be lifted Sunday, Dec 27, at 4:30pm.Executive Order 12 also brings Metro resources to bear in response and relief efforts.

    The explosion occurred at 6.30am on 2nd Ave N, in the city’s downtown area. Police have described the blast, which has been linked to a vehicle, as “significant” and have said it was likely ‘intentional’. Three people have been taken to a local hospital, though their injuries are believed to be minor.

    Some photos showing damage on 2nd Ave North as multiple agencies continue to work and investigate an explosion from earlier this morning, Nashville Fire Department posted some images on the Twitter page.

    According to the statement released by the Nashville Metro Government, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD), FBI, and ATF are investigating today’s intentional 6:30 a.m. explosion of an RV outside 166 2nd Avenue North downtown.  Vehicle and pedestrian traffic downtown is restricted as the investigation continues.        

    Officers responded to shots fired call on 2nd Avenue at approximately 5:30 a.m.  The department’s Hazardous Devices Unit was called to check the RV.  As those officers were en route, the vehicle exploded outside an A-T-&-T transmission building.  Multiple buildings on 2nd Avenue were damaged, some extensively.
