Ukrainian defenders shot down Russian 61 out of 71 cruise missiles, as well as 5 UAVs, between February evening and the morning of 10 February, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Telegram.

In total, Russia launched 106 missiles and 7 drones at Ukraine during this period, Zaluzhnyi said.

Zaluzhnyi said that airstrikes and missile strikes were delivered from Tu-95 strategic bomber jets from the Caspian Sea, Volgodonsk and missile carriers in the Black Sea.

S-300 anti-aircraft missiles were launched from Belgorod Oblast and the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, near the city of Tokma, it added in the post.

The Russian military carried out a flurry of missile and drone strikes in eastern and southern Ukraine early Friday.

The Ukrainian military said that Russian forces carried out heavy bombings in Ukraine’s industrial east, especially Luhansk and Donetsk provinces. At the same time, in Zaporizhzhya, there was a fierce bombardment with drones and missiles 17 times in an hour. Russia also rained bombs on Kharkiv. This shook Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya.

Loud air raid sirens rang out all over the area. People living in houses were taken to bunkers. Panic broke out all over Ukraine. Many basic buildings collapsed like a house of cards and caught fire. For a long time, the sky was seen turning black and red due to the flames and smoke, media reported.
