Ukraine received EUR 88.5 million in grant aid from the World Bank’s Donor Trust Fund, the Ukrainian Finance Ministry said in a statement.
“Today, Ukraine received grant funding in the amount of 88.5 million euros. These funds were provided from the World Bank’s Donor Trust Fund under the Second Economic Recovery Development Policy Program for Ukraine,” said in a statement.
According to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry, grant funds will be directed to the general fund of the State Budget of Ukraine to provide priority social, humanitarian expenditures, health care expenditures, and support for internally displaced persons.
On April 21, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko and the World Bank Regional Director for Eastern Europe (Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine) Arup Banerjee signed a € 88.5 million grant agreement with the Trust Fund.
This Trust Fund was established by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association.
