The U.S. stock market opened on a strong note this morning as all major indexes posted gains, led by a robust performance in the technology sector.

As of 9:40 AM EST, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 79.26 points to 37,724.85, while the NASDAQ Composite surged 192.57 points to 15,460.49, marking the biggest early gain among the major indexes. The S&P 500 also advanced 29.38 points, reaching 5,012.15, and the NYSE Composite opened flat at 17,188.46.

Tech stocks led the rally, with several prominent names showing early strength:

• Tesla (TSLA) rose $8.66 to $230.52

• Apple (AAPL) gained $5.80 to $178.22

• Microsoft (MSFT) increased $4.11 to $358.68

• Nvidia (NVDA) added $2.55, trading at $98.85

• Amazon (AMZN) advanced $2.40 to $173.06

• Alphabet Inc. (GOOG) ticked up $0.57 to $147.15

Investor sentiment appears buoyed by expectations of strong corporate earnings and renewed confidence in the resilience of the tech sector. Easing inflation concerns and the Federal Reserve’s steady stance on interest rates have also contributed to the market’s upbeat tone.

Market analysts will be watching closely to see if this morning’s momentum sustains throughout the trading session.
