Two people were found dead inside a home in Burke, Virginia, Friday morning. Fairfax County police said it believe the bodies had been there for a while. The incident is being classified as a homicide.
Speaking in a press briefing, Fairfax County Police Department’s Major Daniel Spital said Police are investigating the incident as a double homicide and have not concluded yet the incident as a murder-suicide.
Officers were called to the home in the 6100 block of Eagle Landing around 10:30 a.m. That’s when they found two adults inside the home. Details about the two people, or what led to their deaths are currently under investigation and have not been released by police.
Police believe the victims were family but they are awaiting a full examination of the body to confirm that detail, Spital said. He also said police had been called to the house several times before.
