Twitter suspends Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s account over Covid misinformation

Twitter has temporarily suspended the account of Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Rep) for 12 hours after she made a controversial post on her Twitter account that violated its policy on sharing misleading information about the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the weekend, Ms Greene said that Covid-19 “was not dangerous” for those under 65 who are not obese and “vaccine should not be required”.

“We took enforcement action on the account you referenced (@mtgreenee) for violations of the Twitter Rules, specifically the COVID-19 misleading information policy,” Twitter said in an emailed statement.

The tweets are still displayed on her account, but with a “misleading” tag.

The controversial #COVID19 vaccines should not be forced on our military for a virus that is not dangerous for non-obese people and those under 65.

Updates: Greene’s Twitter account resumed after 12 hours.

American social media company Twitter banned me for 12 hrs, censoring me, & violating my freedom of speech.

You know who else silences, censors, and bans people they don’t like and want heard.
