President Donald Trump is criticizing the U.S. judicial system after what he describes as a court decision requiring individual trials for 530,000 undocumented migrants allegedly flown into the country under a Biden-era program. The ruling mandates that each case must be adjudicated individually — a process Trump claims could take “approximately 100 years.” While no official timeline has been confirmed by the courts, immigration attorneys note that, under current legal backlogs and case volumes, it can take several years for individual asylum or deportation hearings to reach resolution.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump expressed outrage, describing the court as “radicalized” and “totally OUT OF CONTROL,” accusing it of political bias against him. He argued that the ruling defies common sense and undermines national sovereignty.
“Can you believe it? A Judge ruled against us on 530,000 Illegal Migrants… saying that they can’t be looked at as a group, but that each case has to be tried individually,” Trump wrote. “What is going on with our Courts? They seem to hate ‘TRUMP’ so much, that anything goes!”
Trump referred to the migrants as individuals flown into the country under President Joe Biden’s immigration policies, alleging that they were transported “by airplane” across the border. While the details of the case Trump referred to were not specified, the comment appears to allude to ongoing lawsuits over Biden-era immigration programs, particularly those providing humanitarian parole to migrants from countries such as Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Haiti.
The President warned that under the current system, repatriating the group could take decades due to the legal requirement to conduct separate trials. “What Common Sense do we have when we have to have 530,000 trials?” he questioned, accusing Democrats and President Biden of deliberately weakening the nation’s legal and immigration frameworks.
“We are trying to bring our Country back from the destruction caused by the Democrats and Crooked Joe Biden,” Trump added.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has not publicly addressed Trump’s claims regarding the specific flight-based migration referenced in the post. However, similar accusations have been at the center of Republican criticisms in recent years, particularly against the humanitarian parole program which allows migrants to enter the U.S. under strict eligibility rules.
Legal experts note that due process under U.S. immigration law typically requires individualized hearings unless otherwise directed by legislation or specific legal precedent. With a current immigration court backlog exceeding 3 million pending cases nationwide, processing such a volume of cases would, in theory, take decades under current capacity.
As of now, the judicial ruling in question has not been officially identified or released to the public, and the Biden administration has not issued a direct response to Trump’s statement.
According to Truth Social, Trump ended his post with a call for justice and accountability:
“Where is the JUSTICE here???”
