Washington D.C (GNB): President Donald Trump condemned the violent supporters who stormed the nation’s Capitol Wednesday. He also conceded the victory of Joe Biden, in a short video message to the nation Thursday night.

In a new video message, Trump said ‘Yesterday’s violence was a “heinous attack” that left him “outraged by the violence lawlessness and mayhem.”

“Now that Congress has certified the results, the “new administration will be inaugurated on January 20” and his “focus now turns to ensure a smooth orderly and seamless transition of power”, he said in a video message to the nation.

Trump did not say about his role in inciting the violence.

President Trump’s video message came late to the nation after a growing number of lawmakers demanding either through the 25th Amendment or impeachment to remove President Trump from office.

House Speacker Nanci Pelosi and Sen Schumer are building a huge pressure on Vice President Pence to urge him to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove the President immediately from the office.

U.S.Congress formally certified Joe Biden’s election victory

Democrats Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won the 2020 election, U.S. Congress formally certified early on Thursday morning.

U.S Congress announced the decision after the pro-Trump mob storms US Capitol in a bid to overturn 2020 election.

The announcement was made by Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar on early morning Thursday.

Vice President Mike Pence then repeated the totals first for president, then for vice president.

Biden will take President Donald Trump’s place in the White House on Jan. 20.

    Demanding for Amendment 25:

Trump has only 14 days left in the White House, but many lawmakers want his presidency over sooner. They are demanding his impeachment due to deadly violence on Capitol Hill yesterday.

House speaker Nansi Pelosi demanded Vice President Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office. She said- “he incited an armed insurrection against America.”

“Yesterday, American democracy came under attack — but we refuse to be bullied into abandoning our duty to work”, Pelosi said.

Pelosi joined a growing number of lawmakers in demanding either through the 25th Amendment or impeachment to remove President Trump from office.

She warned he could do further harm to the country: “Any day can be a horror show for America.”

“If the vice president and the Cabinet do not act, the Congress may be prepared to move forward with impeachment,” Pelosi said in a press conference today.

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., announced that she’s drawing up articles of impeachment, tweeting: “We can’t allow him to remain in office, it’s a matter of preserving our Republic and we need to fulfill our oath.”
