Former President Donald Trump continues to talk about a former aide to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows Cassidy Hutchinson.
On TRUTH Social, Trump posted a fresh, lengthy attack in which he calls Hutchinson a “social climber” and a liar.
In the next post, Trump said that Cassidy Hutchinson was “desperate” to continue working for him in Florida “long after” January 6th. Trump claims that Hutchinson’s efforts to “stay a part of the MAGA team” are all documented in writing.
He accused a former White House aide of “lying under oath.”
“Ms. Hutchinson stands by all of the testimony she provided yesterday, under oath, to the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol,” her attorneys, Jody Hunt and William Jordan of Alston & Bird, told Fox News in a statement on Wednesday.
Hutchinson’s initial attorney was Stefan Passantino. Her new attorney Jody Hunt was Jeff Sessions’ chief of staff during the first year of the Trump administration.
Hutchinson has accused Trump of altercation with the Secret Service agent in the presidential limo known as The Beast.
Tuesday’s January 6 hearing came as a surprise. Cassidy Hutchinson, a special assistant to Mark Meadows, gave explosive testimony.
She told the world that on January 6, 2021, Trump wanted to go to the US Capitol but that the Secret Service assessed that it was unsafe for him to go there.
Hutchinson said that Trump then lunged in rage toward the steering wheel of the Beast, causing an altercation with an agent.
“I’m the ‘effing’ president, take me up to the Capitol now!” , Trump screamed according to Hutchinson. She said that this story was told to her by Meadows’ deputy shortly after it happened.
