GNB-Sports: Romelu Lukaku today scored 50 goals in 70 games across all competitions in Italian football since joining Inter Milan. He becomes the fastest player to ever reach that feat in the Inter Milan’s history.
Lukaku has surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 50 goals in 77 games.
Romelu Lukaku scored his 50th goal for Inter, as he netted Inter’s fourth against Crotone before leaving the pitch with a thigh injury.
He also has the most goal involvements (16) in Serie A this season.
According to the Inter Millan- ‘This season, Lukaku scored 16 goals in 19 appearances. Four were in the Champions League, from five matches, while 12 were scored in the league, from 14 appearances. In total, Lukaku has scored 35 goals in 50 appearances in Serie A, with his first coming against Lecce in 2019. Only five players have scored more goals in their first 50 matches in Italy’s top tier during the era of three points for a win. They are Cristiano Ronaldo (40), Ronaldo (38), Andriy Shevchenko (37), Diego Milito (37), and Vincenzo Montella (36)’.
