Queen Elizabeth II is under medical supervision over concerns for her health, the royal family announced on Thursday.
“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” the family said in a statement.
“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral ” — the Scottish estate where she has spent the summer.
The palace did not provide further details on the seriousness of her condition. She is 96 years old.
A flight carrying seven members of the Royal Household is expected to land at Aberdeen Airport shortly, according to a report from BBC. It’s not known exactly which members of the household are on board.
The plane is traveling from RAF Northolt in London per the BBC report.
