A small plane carrying four people has crashed in the central Philippines. Rescue workers are searching for them, an official of the Civil Aviation Office said.
According to the Civil Aviation Office, the pilot, one other crew member and two passengers were on board the plane. The Cessna 340 plane went missing on Saturday morning shortly after taking off from Bicol International Airport, south of the capital, to Manila.
Local search and rescue teams have identified a possible crash site near the airport, Civil Aviation Office spokesman Eric Apollonio told AFP. The search has been difficult due to adverse weather conditions. Less than a month after the Cessna plane crashed in the northern province of Isabela in the Philippines, another plane crashed.
The aviation accident comes less than a month after another Cessna plane went missing on January 24 in the northern province of Isabela. A search for that plane’s wreckage is still ongoing, Apolonio said. Source: AFP
