    Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the dissolution of the National Assembly on August 9, following discussions with parliamentary leaders.

    Media reports indicate an in-depth discussion on the country’s political situation during the dinner meeting.

    PM Shehbaz is set to send a formal advice to the President, and if signed within 48 hours, the National Assembly will be dissolved.

    Additionally, the Prime Minister assured the opposition of a three-day consultation period for the Caretaker Prime Minister selection, with the Election Commission stepping in if no agreement is reached.
