Liz Truss, the leader of the Conservative Party, is the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom after meeting with Queen Elizabeth in Scotland on Tuesday.
The 47-year-old Truss became the third British woman to become Prime Minister. Earlier, Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May became Prime Ministers of Great Britain.
Outgoing Prime Minister Boris Johnson resigned last June, facing a moral crisis after his own cabinet ministers resigned.
