Leo Messi has officially signed for French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after his 21 years long association with FC Barcelona.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on Tuesday announced the signing of Leo Messi on a two-year contract with an option of a third year.
Messi left Barcelona as a free agent after 21 years with a tearful goodbye farewell Sunday. The six-time Ballon d’Or winner said goodbye to FC Barcelona on Sunday, saying the club was his and his family’s “home”.
“I am excited to begin a new chapter of my career at Paris Saint-Germain. Everything about the club matches my football ambitions. I know how talented the squad and the coaching staff are here. I am determined to help build something special for the club and the fans, and I am looking forward to stepping out onto the pitch at the Parc des Princes,” Messi said in a statement released by PSG.
Messi will wear No. 30 with PSG, which was his first number at Barcelona.
