The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced that they are continuing to prepare for an expected ground offensive in the Gaza Strip. The IDF has approved “plans for the expansion of the fighting” in recent days and troops are currently “conducting training in accordance with the approved operational plans.”

In anticipation of a major ground incursion, tens of thousands of IDF troops have been deployed to the Gaza border. Officials have indicated that this operation will begin “soon.”

Anti-Tank Missile Fired at Israeli Village on Lebanese Border

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reports that an anti-tank guided missile was fired from Lebanon at the Margaliot area in northern Israel. In response, the IDF carried out a drone strike against the cell that launched the missile.

In a separate incident, another missile was launched from Lebanon at the Hanita area. The IDF responded with artillery fire at the source of the missile launch. The IDF has not immediately provided information on possible casualties resulting from these missile attacks.

In addition to these incidents, the IDF carried out another drone strike against a cell launching rockets from Lebanon at the Mount Dov area on the border. The IDF has released a video showing the drone strike against this rocket-launching terror cell in southern Lebanon.

In the past 24 hours, IDF has reported that 20% of the rockets launched by Hamas and Islamic Jihad have successfully struck targets in Gaza.

Palestinian Casualties Rise Amid Ongoing Conflict

The Hamas-controlled health ministry reports that at least 4,385 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israel-Hamas war, including 1,756 children. An additional 13,561 people have been wounded.

These numbers, which cannot be independently verified, do not differentiate between civilians and terrorists. They include Palestinians killed in IDF strikes on the Strip and those killed by terror rockets fired at Israel that fell short.

Israel has also reported that it killed approximately 1,500 terrorists inside Israeli territory following Hamas’s deadly assault on October 7, which resulted in around 1,400 deaths and an estimated 210 hostages.
