India beat England by 157 runs to win the 4th Test and take a 2-1 lead in the 5-match series. Team India is closer to a long-awaited series win.

Chasing a target of 368, England was all out for 210 to hand India a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.

Umesh Yadav was India’s leading bowler with 3/60.

India’s Jasprit Bumrah on Monday became the fastest Indian pacer to reach 100 wickets. Bumrah achieved the feat in the ongoing fourth Test against England when he removed Ollie Pope for 2 in the second session of the final day.

With Pope’s wicket, Bumrah broke former Indian skipper and Captain Kapil Dev’s record.

Kapil Dev had taken 25 Tests to reach 100 wickets while Bumrah achieved the milestone in his 24th game.

“What a way to reach the milestone!@Jaspritbumrah93 bowls a beauty as Pope is bowled. Among Indian pacers, he is the quickest to reach the mark of 100 Test wickets,” BCCI tweeted.

England has to win the last Test to prevent a series defeat.

India only needs to draw the next game and they shall win their first Test series in England since 2007.

The final match for the 5th Test will be played in Manchester from September 10.

    Scores:

    India: 191 and 466

    England 290 and 210 in 92.2 overs.
