    India Covid-19 Update: 28 percent jump in COVID cases

    The speed of corona virus in India is increasing once again. The cases are increasing rapidly every day. Let us tell you that the new cases of corona registered on Sunday are 28 percent more as compared to Saturday (April 1). The Union Health Ministry has given information about this.

    3824 new cases of corona in 24 hours
    According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, 3824 new cases of corona have been registered in India within 24 hours. On Saturday, this number was around 2 thousand. After the cases registered today, the number of active patients in the country has increased to 18,389.

    The figures said that the number of people recovering from Kovid has increased to 4.47 crore (4,47,22,605). Figures updated at 8 am said the death toll rose to 5,30,881 with five deaths.

    Recovery rate 98.77 percent
    One death each was reported from Delhi, Haryana, Kerala and Rajasthan in a span of 24 hours and one was confirmed by Kerala. According to the website of the ministry, the active cases in the country are 0.04 per cent of the total cases. According to the Health Ministry website, the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.77 per cent.

    Death rate 1.19 percent
    The daily positivity rate has been recorded at 2.87 percent and the weekly positivity rate at 2.24 percent. At the same time, the number of people recovering from the disease increased to 4,41,73,335, while the death rate was recorded at 1.19 percent.

    According to the ministry’s website, 220.66 crore doses of the Kovid-19 vaccine have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign. Last year India’s COVID-19 tally crossed 20 lakh on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16.
