The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the assassination of three senior Hamas commanders in a targeted airstrike in Gaza.

    Key Figures Targeted

As per the IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have effectively neutralized three top-ranking Hamas terrorists using fighter jets. These individuals, known as Rafat Abbas, the Darj Tafah battalion commander, Ebrahim Jedeva, his deputy, and Tarek Maruf, the leader of combat and administrative support, were recognized as seasoned terrorists who had actively targeted Israel in the past.

According to the Spokeperson, the IDF successfully executed the mission by working in collaboration with the Shin Bet and Amman agencies. The operation relied on the crucial intelligence provided by these agencies.

Among the eliminated commanders was Ayman Nofal, a member of the terror group’s General Military Council and commander of the Central Gaza Brigade. Nofal was one of the most dominant senior officials in the organization and was close to Muhammad Deif, the Hamas group’s military leader.

As part of his role, Nofal carried out numerous terror attacks against Israel and security forces. He was also previously involved in the production and development of weapons and had been involved in the kidnapping of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.

    IDF’s Ongoing Operations

The IDF has been intensifying its airstrikes on the Palestinian enclave. The airstrike that resulted in Nofal’s death was carried out following intelligence efforts by the Shin Bet security agency and Military Intelligence Directorate.

Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has issued a stern warning to members of Hamas. He stated that they have two options in the ongoing war: to surrender or to die. “Our warplanes will reach everywhere… every missile has an address. We will reach each and every one of the members of Hamas,” Gallant told pilots and technicians of the Israel Air Force’s F-35 fleet at the Nevatim airbase.

    Reactions and Aftermath

The airstrikes have led to limited clashes between Hamas fighters and Israeli forces inside Gaza. Meanwhile, rockets from Gaza continue to target southern and central Israel, causing some damage and injuries.

The situation remains tense as both sides show no signs of backing down. The international community is closely monitoring developments with calls for restraint from all parties involved.
