At least 17 migrants were killed when a bus crashed in Mexico’s Puebla state. Officials gave this information on Monday.
According to Puebla’s Interior Secretary Julio Huerta, all the dead were migrants. These include migrants from Venezuela, Colombia and Central America.
Huerta said the accident happened on Sunday on a highway coming from the southern state of Oaxaca. He said that it appears that the migrants were traveling with insufficient documents. He said 15 of the 45 passengers died on the spot. Two died in the hospital.
13 people have been injured in a bus accident. The condition of 5 of these has become critical. They have been admitted to the hospital. 8 others also got hurt.
