    Golden Globes Award 2021: ‘Nomadland,’ ‘Borat’ sequel’ win top film awards

    (GNB Desk): This year’s Golden Globes ceremony looked a little different due to the pandemic, but that didn’t stop Hollywood from celebrating the best of film and television from the past year.

    Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 78th Golden Globe Awards being delayed for nearly two months kicked off Sunday night.

    Sunday night, best top drama film for the 78th Golden Globe Awards went to “Nomadland” and “Borat Subsequent MovieFilm”. 

    The two films earned awards for best picture; “Nomadland” for the drama category and “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” for the comedy or musical division.

    Chloé Zhao wins best director for “Nomadland” at the Golden Globes. She’s the first woman to win the category in almost four decades.

    The best actress in a drama went to Andra Day for “The United States vs. Billie Holiday” and Chadwick Boseman posthumously received the award for best actor in a drama for what became his final movie role in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”

    Taylor Simone Ledward accepts the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama on behalf of her late husband Chadwick Boseman at the Gloden Globes.
