Prime Minister Modi expressed his delight and said, “I have just received the good news that, thanks to the hard work of our teams and your cooperation, a consensus has been reached on the New Delhi G20 Leaders Summit Declaration.” This development marks a major success for India in its role as the host of this global event.
India’s Sherpa to G20, who played a crucial role in facilitating the consensus, highlighted the unprecedented achievements of India’s G20 Presidency. “With 112 outcomes and presidency documents, we have more than tripled the substantive work from previous presidencies,” the Sherpa stated. This Presidency has been recognized as the most ambitious in the history of G20 presidencies.
