The French government watchdog agency, the National Frequency Agency, has called for the immediate recall of Apple’s iPhone 12 from the French market due to growing concerns over excessive electromagnetic radiation emissions.
In an official statement, the agency urged Apple to urgently address this issue, which they claim poses potential risks to individuals. The National Frequency Agency is responsible for monitoring the impact of radio-electric frequency and electromagnetic radiation on people’s health.
The agency’s recent investigation, which included tests on 141 mobile phones, including the iPhone 12, revealed that the electromagnetic energy absorption of the device exceeded the European Union standard of four watts per kilogram. The iPhone 12 registered at a concerning 5.74 watts per kilogram and exhibited elevated levels of radiation.
In response to France’s bid to halt iPhone 12 sales, Apple comes forward to defend its product, refuting claims regarding radiation levels. Apple has vehemently disputed these claims, asserting that the iPhone 12 complies with all international radiation regulations and standards. The company stated that it has received certification from numerous international organizations and has provided the French agency with comprehensive test results from both Apple and third-party laboratories.
