Billionaire, Tesla CEO and the founder of SpaceX Elon Musk and Canadian singer Grimes have broken up after three years and one child together, the Tesla founder confirmed the split, telling Page Six that he and Grimes are now “semi-separated” after dating for three years.
“We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently, and are on great terms, ” Elon Musk told Page Six.
But he added that despite the breakup, they still get along and will continue to co-parent their one-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii Musk.
“It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas, and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now, and Baby X is in the adjacent room,” he added.
Last May, Musk and Grimes welcomed their first child and named him X Æ A-Xii, because of aircraft reasons.
