    Delaware mall shooting: 3 shot, 5 injured

    There was a shooting on Saturday at a mall in the US state of Delaware. Three people were shot and injured at the Christiana Mall in Delaware.

    “At approximately 6:43 p.m., tonight, the Delaware State Police were dispatched to the Christiana Mall for a reported shooting that occurred at the entrance to the food court,” the Police said in a statement. “Officers responded and located three victims with gunshot wounds in the vicinity of the food court. The victims were transported to area hospitals for their injuries.”

    According to the Delaware Police, all three of the victims have been listed in stable condition. Five other individuals sustained various injuries not related to gunfire during the incident. These subjects were transported to area hospitals for medical treatment.

    Delaware Police said, ‘There is no public safety concern at Christiana Mall and the surrounding area. However, avoid overcrowding this area. The inspection of the matter is going on. Right now the shopkeepers in the mall have been evacuated.

    It has not been confirmed how many suspects were involved at this time, the police said. At present, no suspect has been taken into custody.

    “We can confirm that there are three victims who sustained gunshot wounds,” police said in a tweet. He has been taken to the district hospital for treatment. Police said the mall would remain closed on Saturday evening. Media reports claimed that three people were shot in the food court area. “We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to gather more information about this shooting,” police said.

    Investigators are actively working to identify the suspects. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. the police said.
