This crispy Juicy Chicken pakoda is famous street food in Nepal and India and I am sure many of us love it.
Boneless chicken pieces are marinated in spices, coated in a thick batter, and fried until crispy. Sprinkle generously with chat masala and a good squeeze of fresh lemon juice while serving. These are great as an appetizer and can be made in a big batch for a crowd.
Pakoda is one of the most consumed fast food in Nepal and India. Crisp golden chicken and onion bites cooked with a selection of spices in a Gram / Rice flour which is deep-fried in veg oil. This is the basic chicken pakora recipe which absolutely delicious. I hope you like this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 600 gram chicken breast (chopped in 1cm cubical shape)
- 100 gram Longly chopped onions
- 60 gram – gram flour
- 10 gram rice flour
- 10 gram Garlic paste and
- 10 gram ginger paste
- 2-4 fresh green chilli chopped
- 5 gram garam masala
- 2 gram turmeric powder
- 6 gram tbsp red chilli powder (better to take Kashmiri red chilli Powder)
- 5 gram cumin seed powder
- 100 ml water Salt per your taste or
- 10 gram Oil to deep fry Some fresh coriander and juice from a half lemon
Directions:
- Mix the chopped chicken with minced ginger, chopped chilli, red/kasmiri chilli, garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin seed powder, salt per taste, lemon juice, gram flour and cooking oil.
- Mix together to combine, then add in the water a splash at a time until you have a batter about the thickness of double (heavy) cream.
- Deep fry the chicken pakora until the coating is golden brown and the chicken is cooked through.
Place in a serving bowl and sprinkle with fresh coriander. Serve with sweet chilli sauce.
