In Their Words: From Our Journalists, Interns & Readers

During this time, we’ve seen incredible growth within our newsroom team members and our readers. Here’s what some of our team members and readers had to say about the impact of the newsroom:

Nabendra Dahal, Chief, Education and Adolescent Development at UNICEF (Uganda): 2021 has been a year of misinformation and disinformation. This has created the need to triangulate information before forming an opinion. By bringing breaking news from different sources with speed and accuracy Global News Break has helped me in this process. I thank the GNB team for their support during 2021 and wish them a successful 2022.

Suman R Timsina, Executive Director at International Development Institute (USA): Dear Global News Break (GNB) Team, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for bringing fair reporting to your audience in a very timely manner. I wish you all the best and hope that GNB continues expanding its audience by maintaining ethics and fair reporting in the new year 2022.

Taranath Dahal: Executive Chief- Freedom Forum Nepal, Former President- FNJ: GNB is really an effective news package for consumers to inform various global issues.

Bishnu Joshi, Scientist and Researcher (USA): I am a regular reader of GNB. Amidst the widespread misinformation on scientific facts and cacophony of fake news, paid news, and opinionated views, this is one online platform where there is more wholistic content on topics like lifestyle, health, nature conservation. At times while skimming through articles published on GNB, I have felt that I can accept the information without worrying about fact-checking!

Being a scientist and a researcher by profession, in the coming days, I wish to be not only the passive consumer of the news served by GNB but also actively contribute myself by communicating some scientific findings and latest trends to a non-scientific broader audience!

I wish the entire GNB newsroom team, writers, and readers a happy and fruitful year ahead!

Asmi Pokharel (USA): January 1st,2021 marks the first anniversary of GNB media. I would like to take this opportunity to thank GNB media for giving me this chance of a lifetime to join the team as an intern. I am grateful to GNB media for all the challenging and equally exciting assignments that were given which definitely helped me learn and strengthen my skills. The motto of GNB focused on conversing the diversity of the world news, making the entire world as a small community of diverse cultures and values. I am glad to have experienced this unique platform of world media and deliver my voice through articles. 365 days are done, good luck to many more 365s to come. Happy Anniversary!

Abhishek Pandey (USA): Bravado! That’s what I have all to say for GNB. Global News Break has been a platform provider for me and many other content writers like me who want their voices to be put out into the world. The experience of being read by people who I don’t know and getting feedback from them and seeing people discuss social problems because of my articles, it’s been an amazing year. A diverse platform where we can find articles on almost any topic we want; I feel grateful and accomplished to have been under the GNB umbrella as a contributor. It’s been a year of learning and the anniversary is indeed a reason to cherish for what the Internet has got with GNB. Like many other fellow writers, I got my voice heard and earned a value of growth, learning, and achievement. I am glad for being a part of this media firm and aspire to put my words out this coming year as well and feel thankful for everyone who’s been a part of this house in every way.

Bijendra Basnet, Tech Enthusiast (USA):  We started with a few but now we are many, not only in numbers but also in talents and creativity. Congratulations for all the effort and hard work. It’s been a fruitful year. The agency has stood the test of time and hopes to prosper in this ethical journey of truth and information. As Robert frost said the woods are lovely, dark, and deep…. But I have promises to keep,   And miles to go before I sleep,    And miles to go before I sleep. It’s a long journey ahead and there are still more miles and obstacles to overcome. So, wishing the team successful years ahead!!

Sudip Pokhrel, General Secretary, America Nepal Society (USA): GNB got unbiased, transparent, meaningful content and diversity on your side.

As a former Media Person, I would like to wish the editorial team “May the force be with you.” And yes, the phrase has become somewhat cliché over the years. However, for a news agency its needs a huge force to remain unbiased and balanced when handling news and information for general public dissemination. So I would say that Global News Break and the team on the backend has been able to control the news & information bull by the horns throughout the year and wish will continue to do so over the years. Failure to remain unbalanced is not the option mantra for Sunil Mani Dahal and his team.

Sarik Koirala, Business Analytics and Data Science (USA): A huge congratulations to GNB on its first anniversary! It is incredible how GNB in its short history has excelled at staying true to its founding vision of presenting an unbiased, creditable and authentic news source to a diverse audience. To top it off, GNB has also been highly successful in diversifying its content in areas of technology, business and lifestyle. After an incredible 1,421 pieces in its first year, the sky is the limit for this budding company. I am humbled to have been a part of this exciting venture, getting a chance to contribute to GNBs coverage of the technology and business spectrum. It was a great opportunity to present my findings and views in a platform that symbolizes innovation and reliability!

Roshan Regmi (UK): I have been a regular viewer of GNB. I find their content very updated and precise. As a reader, I very much look forward to their recipes which I often try on weekends. I wish the team even more success and prosperity for 2022.

    Purushottam Bhandary

Purushottam Bhandary (Nepal): Wow ! what a fantastic online newspaper you have started, the Editor. Now I regret if only I had got it at the time when it had been started. GNB! it’s really a very good online Newspaper which contains not only current affairs in the world but also the lifestyle of the people in different places and countries, especially Nepal and Nepalese people. I wish The GNB would keep on supplying varieties of current affairs and lifestyles of people from different parts of the world, especially about Nepal and Nepalese people’s lifestyles. Wish you all family members and the editor a very happy New Year! Happy Anniversary!

As each year comes to a close, it suddenly feels like the whole world gets a fresh start. New Year’s Eve and the days surrounding it have an air of excitement and new possibilities. After all, it’s not only the calendar year that changes, but many of us make goals for personal transformation as well.

Wishing you and all of your loved ones health and happiness in the new year.

Happy New Year and Happy Anniversary!
