(GNB Desk): Buckingham Palace issued a statement Tuesday evening over Harry and Meghan’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The statement from the Buckingham Palace came after the interview first broadcasted in the US with Oprah Winfrey, said: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

The statement adds: “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”

Buckingham Palace’s response comes more than one and half-day after Harry, Meghan made a series of damning accusations in their first sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey since they stepped away from official royal duties last year. They said they would have stayed had they gotten support from the royal family.

During the bombshell conversation with America’s biggest celebrity interviewer, the couple revealed explosive inside information about the Royal Family and also gave their side of the Megxit story.

Meghan also revealed she’d had suicidal thoughts during her early days in the Royal Family and had begged in vain for help with her mental health.

The couple also revealed that Archie wasn’t made a prince shortly after a disturbing conversation was had with a senior royal who expressed “concern” over his potential skin colour.

It is understood the royals wanted to carefully consider their response and to give the British public an opportunity to watch the interview first when it was broadcast on Monday evening.

The royals are said to consider this a family matter and to believe they should be given the opportunity to discuss the issues privately.
