In a fiery statement on Truth Social following a tense Oval Office exchange, President Donald J. Trump accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of being “not ready for Peace” if the U.S. is involved, suggesting that Zelenskyy views American support as leverage in negotiations.

Trump stated, “Much was learned that could never be understood without conversation under such fire and pressure. It’s amazing what comes out through emotion, and I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations. I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE.”

The U.S. President also criticized Zelenskyy’s conduct, accusing him of disrespecting the United States “in its cherished Oval Office.” Trump concluded his statement with a stark warning: “He can come back when he is ready for Peace.”

The explosive remarks come after a heated debate between the two leaders over the Ukraine-Russia conflict, European support, and a proposed minerals deal. The meeting ended abruptly, with Zelenskyy leaving the White House without the planned joint press conference.

This latest development signals growing tensions between the U.S. and Ukraine, potentially impacting future diplomatic engagements and the ongoing geopolitical crisis.
