There was no jackpot winner in the Friday, September 17, 2021, Mega Millions drawing, but 1 lucky player from New Jersey matched the first 5 numbers for a $1,000,000 prize.

The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday, September. 19, is $432 million with an estimated cash value option of $312 million.

Similarly, there was no jackpot winner in the Wednesday, September 15, 2021 Powerball drawing, but 3 lucky players matched the first 5 numbers for a $1,000,000 prize: 1 from California, 1 from Illinois, and 1 from North Carolina.

The current Powerball jackpot for Saturday, Sept. 18 is expected to be $457 million with an estimated cash option value of $331 Million.

    • Jackpot winners can either select their prize as an annuity or a lump-sum payment.
    • If the annuity option is selected, the winner is guaranteed to receive 30 graduated payments over 29 years.
    • The annual payments increase by 5% until the 30th and final payment.
    • The 30 payments added up equal the value of the annuity.

Mega Million is a drawing that occurs twice each week and gives players the opportunity to win a jackpot or other cash prizes. Each ticket costs $2. Every Mega Millions jackpot grows until the jackpot is won. Any Mega Millions jackpot can be won by a single individual or by multiple people.

Similarly, Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee. Drawings are also live-streamed on Powerball.com.

The Powerball jackpot grows until it is won. Players select five numbers from 1 to 69; and one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Players can multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times with the Power Play® option for an additional $1 per play.

Players can play their Powerball numbers again in the Double Play drawing for an additional $1 per play. The Double Play drawing is held after every Powerball drawing on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Double Play is available for purchase in 13 jurisdictions.

Powerball jackpot winners may choose to receive their prize as an annuity, paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or a lump sum payment. Both advertised prize options are prior to federal and jurisdictional taxes.

The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

If more than one ticket matches all six numbers in a drawing, winners will share the jackpot. Jackpot winners will choose Annual Payout or Cash Option when they claim their prize. Jackpot prizes are pari-mutuel. All other prizes are set amounts. If prize liability exceeds the prize-pool funding for set prizes, these prizes may be paid on a pari-mutuel basis and could be lower than these published prize levels.
