Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who received his death threat, has applied to the administration for a weapon license arguing that he should be allowed to keep weapons for self-defense.
According to the Mumbai Police, he applied for the arms license for self-defense in view of the threat letter received from gangster Lawrence Bishnodhashai’s gang last month.
Actor Khan met Mumbai Police Chief Vivek Phansalkar and discussed the death threats received by him and his father. During the meeting, he applied for a weapon license for self-defense.
After Punjabi singer Sidhu Mooswala was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29, Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan received death threats on June 5. Salim Khan’s security team found the letter near Mumbai’s Bandra Bandstand Promenade from where he regularly leaves for his morningwalk.
