A missile shot by a Ukrainian S-300 missile system fell down in Belarus’ territory between 10:00 and 11:00 today, the country’s state-run news agency said.

According to the Belta news agency, the incident occurred at 10-11 a.m. (0700-0800GMT) and Head of state Alexander Lukashenko was immediately informed about the incident.

The agency reported citing the Defense Ministry as saying that air defense units shot down an aerial target at about 10 o’clock in the morning on 29 December. Pieces of the missile were found in a crop field in the vicinity of the village of Gorbakha, Ivanovo District, Brest Oblast. A preliminary examination revealed that the pieces had been part of an S-300 air defense guided missile fired from Ukraine’s territory.
