Anthony Q. Warner, 63 has been identified as the “bomber” in the Christmas day explosion in Nashville, U.S. Attorney Don Cochran said Sunday.
U.S. Attorney Don Cochran announced the update to the investigation in a Sunday afternoon news conference.
Cochran said ” Anthony Warner is the bomber. He was present when the bomb went off and then he perished.”
Investigators used DNA and other evidence to link the man, identified as Anthony Quinn Warner, though officials said they still had not uncovered a motive for the bombing.
Following the press conference, Metro Nashville Police also updated through twitter page.

Nashville Metro Police Chief John Drake has confirmed Anthony Q. Warner, 63 as a ‘person of interest’ in the Christmas day bombing investigation.
Darke said-“That is a person of interest — still there could be several more,” CNN reported.
According to the various sources, Authorities believe Warner’s remains were found at the blast site.But, Lab results for the DNA test yet to receive.
Warner, 63, is a longtime Nashvillian who held several IT jobs throughout his life. Federal authorities are scouring the city for evidence on Warner.
Nashville Metro police has announced a press briefing today at 4 PM.
A news conference to update the status of the investigation into Fri morning’s explosion will take place at approximately 4 p.m. today at 2nd Ave S & Korean Veterans Blvd.
