New York (GNB): Attacks on Asian Americans across the U.S. is increasing. In the wake of attacks on Asian Americans, a Nepali Lyft driver is left wondering if his race played a role in the attack he suffered in Queens.
Ashish Sapkota says to NBC that he picked up two passengers final Tuesday and so they started preventing within the backseat of his car.
The driver who immigrated from Nepal recalled telling the passengers to cease preventing, however issues bought so heated that he needed to pull over on the aspect of the Van Wyck Expressway. Sapkota shared his story to NBC New York.
That’s when Sapkota says the passengers attacked him, and all of it was caught on his sprint digital camera.

Police are investigating the incident however to this point, no arrests have been made, NBC reported.
In an announcement, Lyft stated the attacker is not capable of e book rides with the ride-share company.
“Safety is fundamental to Lyft and the behavior shown is unacceptable. We have been in touch with the driver to offer our support, removed the rider from the Lyft community and are in contact with law enforcement to assist with their investigation,” a Lyft spokesperson told to NBC.
