In the latest debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, Harris has been declared the winner by 53% of voters familiar with the debate, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll. The survey, which included 1,690 U.S. adults nationwide, with 1,405 being registered voters, has a margin of error of around three percentage points for registered voters. Harris leads Trump with 47% support compared to Trump’s 42%.

Following the poll’s release, Trump responded via his social media platform, Truth Social. He declared, “When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, ‘I WANT A REMATCH.’” Trump disputed the poll results, claiming that it was skewed and asserting that he won the debate. He criticized Harris and President Joe Biden, saying, “She and Crooked Joe have destroyed our Country, with millions of criminals and mentally deranged people pouring into the USA, totally unchecked and unvetted, and with Inflation bankrupting our Middle Class.” Trump also noted that Harris had missed several key debate opportunities, including not participating in the Fox Debate and refusing NBC and CBS appearances. He concluded, “THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!”

While national polls like Reuters/Ipsos provide significant insights into voter sentiment, the ultimate decision will hinge on state-by-state results in the Electoral College, with several battleground states expected to be pivotal in determining the election outcome.
