    ICC Announces Semi-Finalists for the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup

    The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed the four semi-finalists for the knockout stage of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

    Hosts India have secured the top spot in the group stage standings, irrespective of the outcome of their final match against the Netherlands this Sunday. Led by Rohit Sharma, the Indian team is set to face New Zealand in a thrilling semi-final on Wednesday, 15 November. The match will kick off at 2 pm IST at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, a venue that witnessed India’s impressive 302-run victory over Sri Lanka earlier in the tournament.

    The second semi-final is scheduled for the following day, with South Africa and Australia ready to clash for a spot in the final. This match will also commence at 2 pm IST on Thursday, 16 November at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The victorious team will advance to the final to compete against either India or New Zealand.

    The World Cup final is set to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, 19 November. The stadium is expected to be packed with over 100,000 fans eagerly awaiting the climax of the tournament’s 13th edition.

    • Semi-final 1: India v New Zealand, Wednesday, 15 November, Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
    • Semi-final 2: South Africa v Australia, Thursday, 16 November, Eden Gardens, Kolkata
    • Final: India / New Zealand v South Africa / Australia, Sunday, 19 November, Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad
