LEWISTON, MAINE – A horrifying mass shooting unfolded in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday night, leaving at least 18 people dead and more than 13 injured. The suspect, identified as Robert Card, a 40-year-old firearms instructor, remains at large.

The shootings occurred in three separate locations across Lewiston. The first reports of an active shooter came from the Sparetime Recreation bowling alley. Minutes later, another shooting was reported at the Schemengees Bar & Grille. A third location was also targeted according to local police reports.

Maine State Police have released images of the suspect and have advised local residents and businesses to lock their doors and shelter in place. They have warned residents not to approach Card as he is considered “armed and dangerous”.

The manhunt for Card is ongoing with hundreds of officers working across the state. A vehicle of interest, a white sport utility vehicle (SUV), has been located in Lisbon, a town around eight miles from Lewiston.
