Reston, Virginia – Authorities have arrested an adult man and two teenagers, aged 14 and 16, in connection with an ongoing investigation into a robbery and brandishing incident that occurred at a local golf course. The incident, which took place on August 16 at the Hidden Creek Country Club, has left the community concerned about safety and security.

According to the Fairfax County Police Deparment (FCPD) , on the evening of August 16, officers from the local police department responded to a call regarding a weapon brandishing at the Hidden Creek Country Club, located at 1711 Clubhouse Road in Reston. An employee had confronted a group of teenagers who were suspected of stealing golf carts in the past, leading to a verbal altercation. Shockingly, one of the teenagers brandished a handgun during the confrontation. Despite an extensive search effort by officers and a helicopter, the suspects managed to evade capture, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Later that same evening, a separate incident occurred at around 8:06 p.m. Again at the golf course, a group of teenagers stole a golf cart and subsequently crashed it. This group then resorted to robbing a party of golfers at gunpoint, commandeering their golf cart before fleeing the scene. Once again, the police responded promptly, but the suspects managed to evade capture. Thankfully, no injuries were sustained during this robbery either.

Through a thorough investigative process, law enforcement officials were able to identify and apprehend the individuals involved in these incidents. Deon Luangraj, 18, hailing from Lynchburg, has been charged with Possession of a Firearm with an Altered Serial Number. In addition, two teenagers, aged 14 and 16, have been charged with Robbery, Firearm, and Narcotics offenses. The 16-year-old is facing additional charges of Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule I/II Narcotics, and Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of Certain Substances. The 14-year-old is facing charges of Robbery, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Underage Possession of a Firearm.

The investigation, which led to the arrests, resulted in the recovery of four firearms and suspected narcotics, effectively removing dangerous items from the streets of Fairfax County.
