    At least 36 dead, 66 in hospital after two trains collide in Greece

    A head-on collision between a passenger train and a freight train smashed the carriages, killing at least 36 people and injuring about 85, Greek authorities said on Wednesday.

    The cause of the crash was not immediately clear, but a station master in the nearby town of Larissa was arrested on Wednesday. The police did not give his name. Two other people were arrested for questioning.

    The accident happened late Tuesday evening when a passenger train carrying more than 350 people collided with a freight train near Tempo.
