Lakeland city said multiple people were shot Monday afternoon in Lakeland, Florida that left at least nine people injured.
Police believe there are nine victims, two with critical injuries and seven with non-life-threatening injuries.
The city said the shooting happened near Iowa Avenue North and Plum Street around 3:43 p.m.
As of this report, authorities have not identified a suspect or released a motive for the shooting.
Officers and Detectives with the Lakeland Police Department are currently investigating a shooting investigation, the city said.
The Lakeland Police Chief is planning to provide an update Monday at 7 p.m.
