    COVID spike in China, Shots down world’s largest electronic market

    Corona infection is increasing once again in China. China’s technology hub Shenzhen on Monday ordered the closure of the world’s largest electronics wholesale market to contain a recent spike in coronavirus cases in the southern city. Also, 24 metro stations have been closed.

    According to a Reuters report, the world’s largest electronics market in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen has been temporarily closed. The 3 big buildings here have been instructed to close by September 2. These buildings house thousands of shops selling microchips and telephone parts.

    According to China’s National Health Commission, on August 28, 1,696 people have been infected with the corona virus in the country.

    24 metro stations closed
    Along with the market, the services of 24 metro stations have also been closed, according to the media. 11 people in Shenzhen with a population of 18 million have tested positive for the virus on Sunday, reported media outlets quoting officals as saying. Therefore, precautionary measures have been taken.

    Cinema halls will remain closed
    Corona infections have suddenly increased in Futian and Luohu districts. Since then, the administration has been active, officials said. According to officials, cinema halls, bars-restaurants and parks will remain closed here till September 2. Public gatherings of any kind are also banned.

    More than 400 infected people were found
    Recently, air services and train services were stopped due to the outbreak of Corona in China. In the city of Sanya, which is considered a tourist destination and the airport of China, 483 people were infected with the corona virus. Air and rail services were suspended after this.
