The date of the by-election in Pakistan for nine seats in the National Assembly has been announced on Friday.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced that the election will be held on September 25.

Due to political changes in the country and disputes within the then ruling party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI), the elections had to be held on vacant seats.

According to the schedule published by the Election Commission, the time of nomination registration has been fixed from August 10 to 13.

According to the Election Commission, the candidates will be studied and investigated by August 17.

According to the officials, the election schedule has been made so that the candidates will be given election symbols on August 29.

Last July, Speaker Raja Pevaise announced that the resignations of the PTI MPs who had resigned en masse had been accepted. They resigned en masse on April 11. The resignation was accepted only after almost three months of resignation.

After accepting their resignation, the Election Commission has prepared and announced the election.

Hours after the ECP announced the schedule for the by-elections, PTI Chairman and ex-prime minister Imran Khan on Saturday announced to contest alone on all nine seats that fell vacant after the National Assembly speaker accepted the resignations of his party’s lawmakers.
