Now, every home in the U.S. can once again get free COVID-19 at-home test kits from the U.S. government.

The U.S. government is again offering free COVID-19 test kits through the mail, allowing for up to eight more tests to be ordered through the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).

Every home in the U.S. is allowed to order these tests, regardless of whether the residents ordered tests during the previous rounds of availability, according to the COVID.gov site. This time around, there is an order limit of two orders per residential address.

The U.S. Postal Service will deliver eight free rapid antigen tests to any household in the U.S. that wants them, according to the website. That brings to sixteen the total tests offered per household so far.

Residential households in the U.S. are now eligible for another order of free at-home tests on USPS.com. Here’s what you need to know about your order:

    • Each order now includes #8 rapid antigen COVID-19 tests
    • Your order of #8 tests will come in #2 separate packages (#4 tests in each package), each with its own tracking number
    • Packages will ship free

The move comes as COVID cases continue to rise and trend at the highest levels seen since November, driven by the BA.2 variant of omicron, and two other subvariants that appear to be even more infectious.
