Jaguar Land Rover has announced a multi-year partnership with NVIDIA  for the adoption of its AI chipset platform Drive. Starting in 2025, all new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles will be built on the NVIDIA DRIVE™ software-defined platform.

Jaguar Land Rover announced Wednesday that it will develop its upcoming vehicles on the full-stack NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion 8 platform, with DRIVE Orin delivering a wide spectrum of active safety, automated driving and parking systems, as well as driver assistance systems built on DRIVE AV software.

The system will also deliver AI features inside the vehicle, including driver and occupant monitoring and advanced visualization, leveraging the DRIVE IX software stack.

The two will work together to build software-defined features for future Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles with continuously improving automated driving and intelligent features, from 2025.

“Our long-term strategic partnership with NVIDIA will unlock a world of potential for our future vehicles as the business continues its transformation into a truly global, digital powerhouse,” Thierry Bolloré, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover said in a statement.

“Next-generation cars will transform automotive into one of the largest and most advanced technology industries. Fleets of software-defined, programmable cars will offer new functionalities and services for the life of the vehicles. We are thrilled to partner with Jaguar Land Rover to reimagine the future of transportation and create the most advanced cars, “said Jensen Huang, NVIDIA founder, and CEO.
