Kiran Gajmer has won the title of the third edition singing reality show ‘The Voice of Nepal’. The finale was held in Kathmandu on Saturday, Kiran defeated three other contestants to secure the title.
Kiran Gajmer from Team Pramod, Aryan Tamang from Team Deep, Jwala Rai from Team Trishna, and Tara Shrish Magar from Team Raju competed in the final of the third edition.
In the Blind audition, Kiran chose coach Pramod by singing the song “Dekhera Timilai Herrera Timilai”.
Kiran came to Nepal for voice from the US and has been in Nepal for eight months for Voice of Nepal.
Kiran first recorded his children’s song in 2005 while he was in the Khudunabari camp in Jhapa, came into the limelight after singing ‘Raatko Chandramalai’.
Meanwhile, Kiran has given voice in films including ‘Radha’ and ‘Sadhe Saat’. He had earlier won famous awards including Image FM and Kalika FM.
Kiran thanks his supporters and posted a message on his Facebook account.
The Voice of Nepal is the Nepalese format of the international TV singing reality series called The Voice. The show usually has four different coaches (Judges), which eventually form four different teams after the selection event called the Blind Audition.
Then each team has to go through with the battle round where contestants are paired with one another, within the same team and only half of the total selected contestants from the blind audition are selected for the knockout round.
During the knockout round, based on the voice format, only the best and strongest contestants who only their respective coach think is the best overall will be selected by their Coaches, who also have a sole right to do this on his/her own and take them to the live round (Voting Round).
Then during the live round event, through series of voting episodes, only one contestant with the most popular vote will Advance to the grand finale.
The first season of the voice of Nepal was won by CD Vijaya Adhikari from Team Deep and the season second was won by Ram Limbu from Team Pramod and the recent season third was won by Kiran Gajmer from Team Pramod.
