TEL AVIV, ISRAEL – The Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv announced today that 18 Nepali nationals have departed Israel for their homeland. The group, consisting of four students, thirteen workers, and one tourist, boarded SpiceJet Airlines Flight No. SG 9996 at Ben Gurion International Airport at 2:55 PM local time.
The embassy coordinated with the Indian Embassy in New Delhi to arrange for their transit through India’s capital city. From New Delhi, the returnees will continue their journey to Nepal with assistance from the Nepali Embassy there.
The embassy has stated that it will continue to facilitate the return of other Nepali nationals as needed. In addition, it is making arrangements to repatriate identified deceased individuals to Nepal within two to three days following the completion of necessary legal procedures. Identification efforts for other bodies are ongoing.
The embassy also reported that it has intensified its search for Bipin Joshi, a Nepali national who has lost contact. All available resources are being utilized in this effort.
